Nigerian singer and songwriter Chidozie Godsfavour Ugochinyere, also known as Fave, has revealed that her debut studio album is underway.

While speaking in an interview with Emmanuel Taymesan on Saturday, Fave revealed certain people she would love to work with on her upcoming project.

Fave stated that she would love to work with household names like Burna Boy, Omah Lay, Olamide and American singer Lola Young.

“I’m really looking forward to putting out my first album next year. So I’m hoping that I can collaborate with Burna Boy. That would be so amazing. Very, very amazing. I’m hoping I can collaborate with Baddo again. We already have a collaboration but I really want to do more songs with him. I’m hoping I can collaborate with Omah Lay,” she said.

While speaking on her choice of artists, Fave noted that she would like to be recognized as well and not made to feel like a burden to the artists.

“I’m hoping I can collaborate with Lola Young. I feel like she’s very fire. Yeah, to be honest, I really, really want to collaborate with lots of people. I’m just trying to work to the point to where I get to a point where they also feel like they should collaborate with me. Because I don’t want a collaboration to feel like someone is doing me like a huge favour. I want it to be like very symbiotic. Yeah. So that’s what I’m gunning for. And just before I start, you know, naming names, but because me and Burna Boy are in the same label, that’s why I just put it out there,” she said.

The 25-year-old is popular for featuring with artists like Davido and Olamide. She also released her EP in 2022.
