Abigeal Nsikak, popularly known as Mirabel on TikTok, has been released from police custody and handed over to the Ogun State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development as investigations into her rape allegation.

The Ogun State Police Command confirmed the development in a statement issued on Wednesday by its Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi.

According to the Command, Mirabel reported to the police station and was subsequently taken to a medical facility for examination as part of the verification process.

“She was received and taken to a medical facility for necessary examination to verify her claims. She has continued to cooperate with investigators as due process progresses,” the statement read.

In what authorities described as a welfare decision, the complainant has now been released into the custody of the Ogun State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.

“The Ministry has undertaken responsibility for her care and has assured the Command that she will be made available whenever required as investigations continue,” the police added.

The Command stressed that the case is being handled with professionalism and sensitivity, urging members of the public to avoid speculation while the investigation runs its course.

Further updates are expected as the probe continues.
