Nigerian producer and music executive Olumide Ogunade, popularly known as ID Cabasa, has addressed popular religious beliefs surrounding the secular music industry.
While speaking on the need for Christians to pursue careers in the secular music industry, Cabasa dismissed claims of it being ruled by the devil. He explained that while it is true that the devil owns Sin and carnality, the earth and the things in it belongs to God.
He urged Christians to not limit their reach because of the beliefs surrounding secular music, noting that they should not allow evil to trump the light they carry.
“If you are a Christian creatives within the secular space please pay attention! There’s an agenda to dissuade you from taking that space with a lie that the devil own that space. The devil owns Sin and carnality ‘Yes.’ But the earth is the Lord and the fullness thereof. Their evil cannot trump your light,” he stated.
