ID Cabasa laments rising violence, public silence

Veteran Nigerian music producer Olumide Ogunade, popularly known as ID Cabasa, has spoken up regarding the rise of insecurity in the country.

The music executive, in an emotional clip, expressed his deep concerns over the recent violent attacks and abductions in the country.

He explained that Nigerians have gradually become accustomed to disturbing incidents, including killings and other violent acts, due to their frequent occurrence.

“It’s so sad now that we have gotten used to evil. Nigerians have gotten used to the killing. We have adjusted to the darkness that has covered this country. The government of the day is not taking action and it’s so sad that even when we are supposed to speak up people pick political divides; we make it religious, we make it ethnical and we make it tribal. An innocent teacher was beheaded and the next thing we keep adjusting,” he stated.
