EPL: City coach, Guardiola mocks Manchester United for celebrating UCL qualification

Pep Guardiola has made fun of Manchester United for celebrating their qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League.

United secured a top-five finish after beating Liverpool FC 2-1 last Sunday. The result confirmed their return to Europe’s top competition after missing out this season.

Guardiola said Manchester City had already secured Champions League qualification several games earlier.

He said City reached the FA Cup final and qualified for the Champions League “four or five matches before the end of the season.”

Guardiola also pointed out how excited Manchester United players and fans were after getting the result they needed against Liverpool, saying it showed how difficult qualifying for the competition can be.
