"CANAL+ is delighted to confirm that the TotalEnergies CAF Women's Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026 will be broadcast on our SuperSport channels on DStv and GOtv throughout Sub-Saharan Africa," Mignot said.
CANAL+ has announced that the expanded 2026 TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) will be broadcast live on SuperSport, giving millions of football fans across Sub-Saharan Africa access to every match of the continent’s premier women’s football tournament.
The championship, scheduled to run from July 26 to August 16 in Morocco, will feature live coverage of all 34 matches across DStv, DStv Stream, GOtv and GOtv Stream. Nigerian viewers will be able to follow the action on DStv and GOtv through MultiChoice.
Hosted across five venues in Rabat and Casablanca, the 2026 edition marks a historic milestone as the largest Women’s Africa Cup of Nations ever staged, following the Confederation of African Football’s (CAF) decision to expand the competition from 12 to 16 participating teams.
Beyond continental glory, the tournament carries added significance as a pathway to the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil. The four semi-finalists will qualify automatically for the global showpiece, while two additional teams will earn places in the intercontinental qualifying playoffs.
CANAL+ Africa and MultiChoice Group Chief Executive Officer, David Mignot, described the tournament as another major milestone for the company following the merger between CANAL+ and MultiChoice.
“CANAL+ is delighted to confirm that the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026 will be broadcast on our SuperSport channels on DStv and GOtv throughout Sub-Saharan Africa,” Mignot said.
He noted that WAFCON represents the third major football tournament to be broadcast since the merger, following coverage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2026 TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year.
According to the company, subscribers will be able to watch every match live on SuperSport Football Plus (DStv Channel 202), while match updates, analysis and highlights will also be available on SuperSport Blitz and the SuperSport digital platforms.
The expanded tournament is expected to further boost the profile of women’s football on the continent, providing greater exposure for African players and national teams while offering fans unprecedented access to the competition.
