IA statement released on Saturday the Command’s spokesperson Omolola Odutola, said the police foiled a kidnap attempt on Friday at about 8:30pm around the Warewa axis of the Long Bridge of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

According to the police spokesperson, the armed miscreants ambushed a white commercial bu and began  robbing the passengers.

“During the attack, some passengers managed to escape through the rear door, which had been smartly and courageously opened by the driver.

The police spokesperson said items recovered at the scene of the crime included one locally made pistol with two cartridges, two daggers, cash sum of ₦20,000, one Tecno Android phone, one solar power bank and three USB lights.
