Nigerian music star Davido has set the record straight after Nollywood actress Sarah Martins questioned why his newly launched food initiative wasn’t named after his wife, Chioma.
Sarah, in an Instagram post, suggested that the singer should have named the “restaurant” after Chioma, whom she praised for her culinary skills.
However, Davido quickly shut down the speculation, clarifying that no restaurant was opened.
According to the singer, “5ive Star Food” is not a restaurant, but a promotional campaign in collaboration with FoodCourt App to promote his latest album, 5IVE.
“U no get sense … no restaurant was opened. That was a promotional campaign with @foodcourt_app for my album. Now take my wife’s picture off your page,” Davido wrote in response to Sarah’s comment.
In her defense, Sarah claimed her post came from a place of love and admiration for the couple, not malice.
