Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has warned that Iran will strike back even harder if Israel continues its air attacks, which have now lasted for nine days. He also said that Iran will never stop its nuclear programme, insisting it is only for peaceful purposes.

Israel said it killed three more Iranian commanders and struck Iran’s nuclear site in Isfahan again. According to Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, these attacks have delayed Iran’s ability to make a nuclear weapon by two years. He said Israel will continue its operations to eliminate the threat from Iran.

Since June 13, Israel and Iran have exchanged several powerful airstrikes. Israel believes Iran is close to building a nuclear bomb. Iran denies this, saying its nuclear programme is only for civilian energy use.

President Pezeshkian, in a call with French President Emmanuel Macron, said Iran is willing to discuss its peaceful nuclear activities. However, he made it clear that Iran will not agree to stop its nuclear work completely.

He also said Iran’s military will attack any country that sends weapons to Israel. Most of Israel’s weapons come from the United States.

U.S. President Donald Trump warned Iran that it has two weeks to avoid American airstrikes. He said the U.S. may join Israel in attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities. U.S. B-2 stealth bombers, which can carry powerful bombs to destroy underground bunkers, have been spotted flying across the Pacific, raising concerns about possible U.S. involvement.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with Islamic nations in Turkey and European leaders in Switzerland. He told NBC News that Iran will not resume talks with the U.S. unless the attacks stop.

President Trump said he sees no reason to stop Israel from attacking Iran. He added that it’s hard to push for peace talks when one side is already winning.

Iran’s allies in Yemen, the Huthis, have also threatened to attack U.S. ships in the Red Sea if the U.S. joins the war, despite a recent ceasefire agreement.

According to Iran’s health ministry, over 400 people have died and more than 3,000 have been injured in the Israeli strikes. A U.S.-based human rights group puts the death toll at 657, including many civilians. Iran’s attacks have killed at least 25 people in Israel.

Israel launched new attacks on Iran’s southern city of Bandar Abbas, targeting weapons storage areas. Iran said it responded with missiles and drones, some of which hit central Israel, although no injuries were reported.

Israel also claimed to have stopped a planned Iranian terror attack on its citizens in Cyprus.

So far, about 450 missiles and 400 drones have been launched at Israel. In Tel Aviv, residents say they are tired of living under the constant threat. One man, Omer, said he has to wake his children in the middle of the night to take shelter during attacks, but still supports Israel’s goal to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons.

In Iran, life is quiet but tense. Some government supporters gathered in Tehran, waving flags and chanting against Israel.

The international community remains concerned about Iran’s nuclear work. Iran is the only country without nuclear weapons that is enriching uranium to 60%. However, the UN nuclear agency says there is no proof that Iran is actually building a bomb.

Agency head Rafael Grossi said it is still unknown how close Iran may be to having a nuclear weapon, calling any guesses “pure speculation.”
