Madueke still on Arsenal’s radar – here’s what we know
England winger Noni Madueke remains firmly on Arsenal’s shortlist, but no official bid has been made by the Gunners as of Monday, July 1.
This was confirmed by football journalist Fabrizio Romano, who said Arsenal discussed the Chelsea forward internally last week but are yet to table any offer. Talks with Chelsea are ongoing, but nothing concrete has emerged.
Madueke, 22, has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer, and Arsenal are said to be monitoring his situation closely.
Meanwhile, earlier reports revealed that Newcastle United had joined Arsenal in the race for the winger, raising the stakes for a potential summer transfer battle. The Magpies are believed to be preparing their squad for European competition and view Madueke as a key attacking option.
Chelsea, on their part, have been active in the market. The West London club recently completed the signing of Liam Delap and are close to finalising deals for Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens. Once incoming transfers are done, the club is expected to shift focus to outgoings, with Madueke among those possibly set for the exit.
Madueke joined Chelsea from PSV Eindhoven in 2023 and has made 33 appearances across all competitions.
