I’m a proud mummy’s boy – Damson Idris

British-Nigerian actor Damson Idris has publicly embraced his identity as a proud “mummy’s boy,” saying he no longer feels ashamed to express how deeply connected he is to his mother.

In an interview with Kiss FM London, the 33-year-old actor revealed that his mother is not just his biggest fan, but also the person he lives to make proud.

He drew comparisons between himself and the movie character Joshua, saying both are driven by the desire to win and honor their mothers.

“I am a mummy’s boy. Big time,” he declared. “I am not ashamed to admit it anymore. It used to be kind of like – ‘ah, he’s a mummy’s boy.’ I am actually proud of myself on it.”

Damson, who has made a name for himself in both British and American film industries, continued:

“That woman is the reason why I exist. She is my biggest fan and I’m her biggest fan. She is the one I want to make proud.”
