Renowned Nigerian fashion entrepreneur Seyi Vodi has celebrated his 50th birthday by donating sewing machines to recently discharged NYSC members.
Seyi on Instagram took a trip down memory lane, revealing that he started his brand with his NYSC allowance.
He also stated that his donation was in a bid to encourage the youth and nurture growth in the fashion industry.
“I started Vodi Tailors with my NYSC allowance. There is a story here with credit to the NYSC and the Federal Government. It was a special moment then when I got a chance to meet with NYSC members and immediate past corps members. One aspect of reflecting our commitment to the industry and its growth is in our community interventions. We donated sewing machines to the immediate past corps members under the Activate Success Foundation’s Youth Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Summit (YEEP’25). @activatesuccessfoundation We took the beneficiaries on a tour of our Fashion House. In seeing what’s possible, young people can have bigger dreams for themselves as they commit to a life of value creation in tailoring. Happy to collaborate with @loveidoko and her organization on this one,” he wrote.
