What Bright Chimezie said about artists smoking, drinking

Nigerian Veteran musician, Bright Chimezie, has spoken about artists who claim to smoke and drink to get inspired.

While speaking in an episode of the CreativTea Podcast, Chimezie debunked such claims, noting that smoking and drinking are only done for fun.

He also claimed that those habits have no effect on an artist’s creativity. He stated that inspiration for ones craft or music is something that comes naturally.

“The claims that you need to drink or smoke to get music inspiration is false. If you are drinking or smoking, you are just having fun. That doesn’t mean it will boost your creativity,” he said.
