The Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC) Ltd., a member of the Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company (CCHBC) Group, has reiterated its commitment to promoting women’s leadership, inclusion, and economic empowerment through its partnership with Women in Management, Business, and Public Service (WIMBIZ) at the organisation’s 24th Annual Conference.

The two-day conference, themed “Own. Walk. Nurture.”, took place on 6–7 November 2025 at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, bringing together women leaders from across sectors to share ideas on leadership, growth, and societal impact.

During a panel discussion titled “Leading from the Inside Out: Balancing Ambition, Vulnerability & Purpose,” Oluwasoromidayo George, NBC’s Director of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, joined other female leaders to discuss how authenticity, resilience, and emotional intelligence can help women lead purposefully and effectively.

George emphasised the importance of being intentional, strategic, and authentic in one’s professional journey, adding that modern workplaces must create supportive environments that allow people to grow personally and professionally.

“Vulnerability is not weakness, it’s confidence and openness that build trust and connection,” she said.

“Be authentic, stay true to your values, and always show up as your best self. Be kind to yourself and to others.”

Further reinforcing its long-standing commitment to women’s economic empowerment, NBC presented the WIMBIZ Entrepreneurship Masterclass ₦1 million grant to two outstanding women entrepreneurs, Toyibah Shehu Mohammed of FarhM’s Food and Sauce Global Limited and Helen Gabriel of Ogy’s Cakes. Both were recognised for their innovation, creativity, and potential to drive meaningful economic impact.

Presenting the grant, Jolomi Fawehinmi, NBC’s People & Culture Director, described women-led enterprises as a key driver of community growth and national development.

“At NBC, we believe women entrepreneurs are catalysts for inclusive growth. Their success strengthens families, uplifts communities, and fuels the broader economy,” she said.

“Every participant in the Masterclass has demonstrated commitment to growth, excellence, and impact.”
