AFCON 2025: Heavyweights lined up for Q- Final showdowns (Full Fixtures)

The quarter-final line-up for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 has been confirmed following the conclusion of the Round of 16 matches.

Nigeria will face Algeria in what promises to be one of the standout clashes of the round, with both sides boasting rich continental pedigree and attacking depth.

The Super Eagles booked their place after an emphatic display in the knockout stage defeating Mozambique 4 -0 while Algeria advanced with a disciplined and clinical performance against Congo DR.

Host nation Morocco who survived Tanzania’s onslaught few days back will take on Cameroon who defeated Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the second round.

The Atlas Lions continue their quest for a maiden AFCON title on home soil. Cameroon, five-time champions, remain one of the tournament’s most experienced sides.

Senegal have been drawn against Mali in an all–West African showdown. The Teranga Lions  will look to assert their dominance against a youthful and energetic Malian team that has impressed with its organization and pace.

The Pharaohs of Egypt will battle defending champions Ivory Coast in a clash between two former champions.

The Pharaohs, record winners of the competition, progressed after a hard-fought victory over Benin Republic, while the Elephants showed resilience to secure their quarter-final berth after defeating fellow West Africa side Burkina Faso.

AFCON 2025 quarter final games will begin on Friday January 9.
