Nasarawa United dropped to third place after playing a 1-1 draw against Bayelsa United. Victor John scored early for Nasarawa United, but Energy Otunuya equalised for Bayelsa United before half-time.
Defending champions Remo Stars suffered a 1-0 defeat to Kano Pillars at the Sani Abacha Stadium. Luis Dadong scored the only goal of the match in the 57th minute.
