According to her, in some situations the fastest way to reduce tensions is to resolve the conflict quickly rather than avoiding involvement while the situation continues to escalate.

Kemi Badenoch, leader of the opposition and head of the Conservative Party, has called on the United Kingdom to support the United States in taking firm military action against Iran amid rising tensions in the Middle East.

Badenoch made the statement after Iran allegedly launched attacks on British military bases located in the region, a development that has raised fresh concerns about security and stability in the Middle East.

Speaking during an interview on the Today programme of BBC Radio 4, the Tory leader said the UK must take decisive steps to prevent further attacks on its forces and allies.

According to her, Britain should work closely with its international partners and listen carefully to the concerns of countries in the region who feel they are not receiving enough support from the UK.
“We need to do everything we can to stop these attacks from happening,”

Badenoch said during the programme.
She noted that some regional allies have expressed disappointment with Britain’s current approach to the crisis, warning that delaying action until the UK is directly attacked could create greater risks in the future.

Badenoch explained that responding early to threats may help prevent the situation from worsening and protect both British interests and regional stability.

Addressing concerns that her position could lead to a wider conflict, she stressed that her intention is not to encourage war but to prevent the crisis from dragging on for a long period.

According to her, in some situations the fastest way to reduce tensions is to resolve the conflict quickly rather than avoiding involvement while the situation continues to escalate.

The comments come as tensions between Iran and Western allies continue to grow following recent military exchanges in the Middle East.
