Nigeria’s senior women’s basketball team, Nigeria women’s national basketball team, has arrived in Lyon as they prepare for the upcoming FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup Qualifying Tournament.

The team arrived on Monday and will compete in the qualifying tournament from March 11 to March 15.

During the competition, the Nigerian team will play against Colombia, South Korea, the Philippines, and host nation France. The tournament will follow a round-robin format, meaning each team will play against the others.

These matches are part of the global qualification process organized by International Basketball Federation. Teams must perform well in these games to earn a place in the next FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup.

D’Tigress, who are the current African champions, hope to continue their strong performance and qualify for the world championship.

The team is expected to begin training immediately in Lyon. Their coaches will focus on improving tactics and player fitness before their first match on March 11.
