Former England striker and football pundit Michael Owen believes that Arsenal F.C. are now very close to winning the Premier League title this season.

Arsenal strengthened their position at the top of the league table after defeating Everton F.C. 2–0 in their latest match. The victory helped the Gunners extend their lead to nine points ahead of their closest rivals.

Later that same day, defending champions Manchester City F.C. dropped points after playing a 1–1 draw against West Ham United F.C.. Although Manchester City still have one game in hand, the result made Arsenal’s advantage at the top of the table even more comfortable.

Speaking about the title race, Owen said it now looks almost certain that Arsenal will win the league. According to him, even if Manchester City manage to beat Arsenal when they meet at the Etihad Stadium and also win their outstanding game, the gap between the two teams would only be reduced to three points.

Owen admitted that Arsenal could still drop points in some of their remaining matches because football can be unpredictable. However, he said he does not believe Manchester City are strong enough this season to win all of their remaining games.

He also added that he cannot see Arsenal losing to Manchester City when the two teams face each other.

Because of this, Owen believes the title race is almost finished and Arsenal are in a very strong position to lift the Premier League trophy at the end of the season.

With only a few matches left to play, Arsenal fans will be hopeful that their team can maintain their form and finally secure the league title after a long wait.
