Nigerian singer Charles Chibueze Chukwu, popularly known as Crayon, has stirred controversy online after publicly calling out his record label boss, Don Jazzy, in a series of posts on social media.
The singer, who is signed to Blowtime Entertainment, an imprint of Mavin Records, took to his X (formerly Twitter) page to criticise the leadership of the record label.
In the posts, Crayon appeared to take a swipe at Don Jazzy, writing, “Don Jazzy na my boy!!!!!! Una dey maddddd!!?? Shayennnnn sharayyyyyy333.”
He also directed a harsher remark at Tega Oghenejobo, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Mavin Records, describing him as a “highest criminal.”
Crayon further made a shocking claim, alleging that he lost his mother because of the label, though he did not provide further details about the statement.
In another post that has since sparked widespread reactions online, the singer wrote, “Mavin is going down!!!!!!”, suggesting possible tensions between him and the record label.
The outburst has led to speculation among fans about the future of Crayon’s relationship with Mavin Records.
However, it remains unclear whether the singer’s X account may have been compromised, as he has continued to post normally on his Instagram page without suggesting that his account was hacked.
Meanwhile, Crayon also shared information about what appears to be a new venture called Olodum Entertainment, including a new booking email address on his Instagram page.
The development has fueled rumours that the singer may be planning to move on from Mavin Records, although neither Crayon nor the label has officially confirmed any split.
Crayon joined Blowtime Entertainment, a subsidiary of Mavin Records, in May 2019 and has since released several songs under the label.
