UCL: Liverpool told to be wary of Osimhen

He also scored when Galatasaray defeated Liverpool earlier in the competition, showing how important he is to his team.

Former Liverpool defender Steve Nicol has warned that his old club should not be seen as clear favourites against Galatasaray in their UEFA Champions League clash.

Nicol pointed out the threat posed by Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, saying he is capable of deciding matches on his own.

Galatasaray go into the second leg with a 1–0 advantage after winning the first match at home. Although Osimhen did not score in that game, he caused serious problems for Liverpool’s defence and even had a goal ruled out for offside.

Speaking on ESPN FC, Nicol said he does not understand why Liverpool are still considered favourites, especially after their recent poor performance.

He said Liverpool struggled badly in their last match and are already behind against a strong Galatasaray team that has a dangerous player like Osimhen leading the attack.

Osimhen has been in excellent form in the Champions League this season. He has scored seven goals and provided three assists in nine games for Galatasaray.

He also scored when Galatasaray defeated Liverpool earlier in the competition, showing how important he is to his team.

As the second leg at Anfield approaches, Osimhen will be looking to continue his strong performances and help Galatasaray qualify for the next round.
