2027: Bala Mohammed, Makinde, Seriake Dickson in closed-door meeting

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State and his Oyo State counterpart, Seyi Makinde, are currently meeting with Senator Seriake Dickson in Bauchi.

A video of the meeting has surfaced online.

Although the reason for the meeting was not immediately clear, it may not be unconnected to preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Reports indicate that Bala Mohammed and Makinde, believed to be among the remaining governors in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), are considering leaving the party.

Their reported move is linked to the lingering leadership crisis within the opposition party.

Dickson, who represents Bayelsa West Senatorial District, recently launched a new political platform, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
