‘I know I am extreme,’ Funke Akindele opens up amid controversy

Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has spoken up about her personality amid the ongoing controversy with her colleague Toyin Abraham.

The actress, while speaking on The Morayo Show, explained that she can be intense in her emotions and actions. Akindele also revealed that she cuts people off easily despite loving deeply.

“I know I am too extreme; I can love too hard and also easily cut off people. I must say I’m not proud of that and I’m proud of it. There must be a balance,” she said.

Akindele spoke about the importance of relationships to her, noting that she however puts her mental health above all else.

“I know I am an extremist. I love so hard, I’m real, I’m not perfect, I can be tough. When my mum was alive, she would always tell me to calm down… It’s good but calm down. Human relationships are very important to me, and I’m learning every day, but no matter what happens, my mental health is very important,” she added.
