Business leader and philanthropist, Aisha Sulaiman Achimugu, OFR, has been formally installed as the Matron of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command.
The installation ceremony took place on April 15, 2026, at the FCT Police Command Headquarters in Abuja.
The PCRC said the appointment is part of efforts to strengthen collaboration between the Nigeria Police Force and the communities it serves, noting that it also reflects the increasing role of private sector leaders in promoting civic responsibility, public trust, and sustainable security partnerships.
According to the committee, Achimugu’s emergence as Matron underscores her long-standing commitment to community development and national growth.
In her new role, she is expected to provide strategic support and advocacy to enhance engagement between citizens and law enforcement agencies. Her responsibilities will also include promoting initiatives that encourage safety, intelligence-sharing, and accountability between the police and the public.
The PCRC, established in 1984, serves as a bridge between the police and the public by fostering dialogue, cooperation, and community-driven support for security efforts.
The committee added that Achimugu’s installation aligns with its objective of deepening trust and encouraging broader participation in security governance.
In a statement, the PCRC said Achimugu, who is the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Felak Concept Group, has built a strong reputation for leadership across sectors including engineering, maritime, oil and gas, and information and communications technology.
“She is also known for her philanthropic efforts and contributions to economic and social development. Her appointment as PCRC Matron is expected to further strengthen frameworks for collaboration, peace, and community empowerment within the FCT,” the statement added.
