He sustained injuries to his kneecap and lower back, but Hosseini assured the public that the back injury has improved, and the kneecap injury is healing well. He dismissed earlier rumors of a forehead injury, explaining that the "small crack behind the ear" had already been treated.

Iran has officially declared that its new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has fully recovered from injuries sustained during a joint US-Israeli attack earlier this year.

The attack, which occurred on February 28, led to initial reports of a “small scratch behind the ear” on Khamenei, although other sources claimed he had undergone facial surgery.

According to Iran’s Fars News Agency, Mazaher Hosseini, director general of protocol at the office of the supreme leader, said he was present at the compound during the attack.

He said Khamenei was knocked to the ground by the blast wave while heading toward the residence and suffered injuries to his kneecap and lower back.

‘The back injury has improved during this period, and the kneecap injury will soon heal as well. He is in full health,’ Hosseini said, according to Fars.

The attack on Khamenei’s compound in Tehran also targeted other nearby locations, resulting in the deaths of several senior officials, including Khamenei’s father, the former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Hosseini emphasized that Khamenei’s residence was also hit, and his wife, along with others, perished in the assault.

The Supreme Leader has not made any public appearances since the attack, but Iranian officials have reassured the public that he is in full health. This marks the first time Iranian authorities have publicly commented on Khamenei’s recovery.

In the midst of this, Iran is responding to a US peace proposal aimed at ending the ongoing conflict. According to IRNA, Iran has sent its response to Pakistan, which is mediating the discussions. No further details of the proposal have been made available, but the move signals a potential shift in the direction of peace talks.

Meanwhile, tensions remain high in the region, with hostile drones detected over several Gulf countries, and the safety of shipping lanes, particularly through the Strait of Hormuz, remains a major concern. Despite a month-old ceasefire, there are ongoing reports of clashes and escalating threats to regional stability.

The US is also facing mounting pressure from global partners to end the war, which has caused widespread disruptions to the global energy market. Meanwhile, President Donald Trump is scheduled to visit China this week as part of ongoing diplomatic efforts to address the crisis.

Tensions remain high, with the threat to regional shipping lanes continuing to disrupt global trade and energy supplies.
