Nollywood actress Shine Rosman has spoken about her childhood and the assumptions people made about her after she lost her father.

The actress, while speaking with Chude Jideonwo, revealed that she lost her father when she was 16, adding that the tragedy traumatised her.

Shine also explained that while she was still processing the death of her father, people made harsh assumptions about her, predicting that she would end up as a prostitute.

“After I lost my dad at 16, many people said to me that I would end up becoming a prostitute and get pregnant out of wedlock. Grief can drive you to a point of suicide because grief is probably one of the hardest things to overcome. My tough upbringing definitely prepared me to want to do better every day. I don’t know how ambitious I would have been if I grew up in a very comfortable environment,” she stated.
