2027: Kano is for Tinubu, says Governor Yusuf

As the 2027 general elections gather momentum, Kano Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has frantically declared that his followers and the Kano people remain committed to re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The Governor made the declaration during an interactive session with elected and appointed government officials held at the Coronation Hall, Government House, Kano.
Yusuf said that Kano is committed to ensure the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at all levels, come 2027 elections circle.
The Governor, his cabinet and party stakeholders also passed a vote of confidence on President Tinubu.
Yusuf reiterated that he is fully committed to delivering victory to the APC, at all levels in the 2027 general elections.
This was contained in a Statement issued by the Governor’s spokesman, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Saturday.
Governor Yusuf said: “Kano would lead the country in delivering massive votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.”
He added that, ” the APC administration in Kano has no apology for supporting President Tinubu,” describing the President’s re-election as, “a collective responsibility of all party members, stakeholders, and government officials.”
The Governor directed, “all political appointees serving in his administration who are yet to register as members of the APC to do so immediately.”
He said: ” every elected and appointed government official must identify with the party and actively participate in strengthening its structures ahead of the 2027 elections.”

Our Correspondent reports that as part of efforts to motivate political office holders, Governor Yusuf approved the allocation of plots of land to over 300 political aides, including Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, Senior Special Reporters, Special Reporters and Personal Assistants.
He also approved the payment of N100,000 to each of the beneficiaries.
Speaking during the meeting, the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Hon. Ismail Falgore, said the APC, ” owes no apology for marketing the achievements of President Tinubu in Kano.”
The Speaker noted that, “constituency projects executed by members of the State Assembly, with the support of Governor Yusuf, have further strengthened the party’s acceptance across the state and positioned it for victory in the 2027 elections.”
Also speaking, the Kano APC Chairman Hon. Umar Haruna Doguwa, declared that “the battle line has been drawn with the Kwankwasiyya movement,” expressing confidence that the APC would emerge victorious in 2027.
At the end of the meeting, elected and appointed government officials unanimously passed a vote of confidence on President Tinubu and Governor Yusuf.
The officials also pledged to intensify grassroots mobilisation and work collectively for the success of the APC at all levels in the 2027 general elections.
