Eko Taekwondo Championship For Tera Culture

Come Saturday, Tera Culture on Tiamiyu Salvage, Victoria Island, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria will come alive as it will play host to the Eko Taekwondo Open Championship.

Over 150 athletes are expected to participate at the event, says the Chairman, Lagos State Taekwond Association, LSTA, Jimi Okunowo.

Okunowo informed that the athletes will participate in Poomsae and Kyuorugi categories as part of their preparation for the National Sports Festival holding in the state later in the year.

The LSTA boss also hinted that the championship will be keenly contested because it will not only serve as trials for the state team to the National Sports Festival,  but will provide an avenue for more talents to be discovered.

Okunowo also stated that the championship will attract prize money of 250,000 naira in all the categories to motivate the athletes.
