Etisalat Begins ‘Refer A Friend’ Promo

Nigeria’s most innovative and fast growing telecommunications company, Etisalat, has announced the launch of its ‘Refer a Friend’ promotion aimed at rewarding active Blackberry customers with up to 30 days service extension when they get their friends to activate any of Etisalat’s Blackberry monthly plans.

The promo which is open to Etisalat prepaid subscribers on easystarter, easycliq, and eliteworld prepaid commenced on 9 April and will end on 3 May, 2012.

Explaining the details of the promotion, Chief Commercial Officer of Etisalat Nigeria, Wael Ammar, said: “When a customer who currently has a Blackberry plan refers a friend, he or she immediately receives a 10-day extension of his/her Blackberry subscription validity. All the customer needs to do is to send YES#friendsnumber via SMS to the short code ‘411’ and a confirmation SMS notification of success of the referral will arrive on the referring subscriber’s line”.

Multiple referrals of the same new activation will be treated on a first-in basis, and a maximum of 30 days subscription extension each applies to all referring subscribers.

The ‘Refer a Friend’ promo is another in the series of highly innovative and customer-friendly promos Etisalat has unveiled in the last few months.

Subscribers on the Etisalat network are currently enjoying one free Blackberry and five dual SIM phones every hour on its exciting ‘9ja Free credit’ promo.
