Attempted Rapist Caught

A 27-year old man, Timothy Oyedotun, arrested by the police in Lagos, southwest Nigeria, is now standing trial before the Abule-Egba Magistrate’s Court, for allegedly attempting to have sex with a six-year old girl.

Oyedotun was arrested and arraigned after he was reportedly caught by the victim’s father while he was inserting his finger into his daughter’s private part.
The incident happened at Ajayi Street in Igando, Lagos, where they both reside.
P. M. NEWS gathered that the victim was inside Oyedotunís apartment where he allegedly carried her, removed her pant, laid her on his bed and was about to have sex with her.
While he was fingering her, her dad who saw her when she entered his room went tobring the little girl out and in the process caught Oyedotun in the act.
The angry father went to Igando police station and reported the matter.
Oyedotun was arrested and charged to court.
He pleaded not guilty. The presiding Magistrate, Mr. O.A Komolafe granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
The matter was adjourned till 28 June, 2012.
