Gov Dickson in shock, disbelief as Assembly man passes on

These are certainly trying times for the people of Bayelsa state. Shortly after the passing of Oronto Douglas, Special Adviser to the President, on Research, Documentation and Strategy yesterday, the state has thrown into another state of mourning following the death of the Legislator representing Ogbia constituency II, in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Obedient Emotor.

Governor Henry Senrike Dickson has since expressed shock and disbelief over the death of the young lawmaker in the State House of Assembly.

In the governor’s condolence message to his family, he stated that, he received the news of Hon. Emotor’s demise with shock and disbelief, describing it as a painful loss to his family, the legislature and the entire state.

According to him, “Emotor conducted legislative business with utmost diligence, passion, commitment and dedication, stressing that, he will be greatly missed by his constituents, colleagues in the State Assembly and all who knew him.

Governor Dickson expressed the hope that, his life of humility, kindness and selflessness, will remain a way of life for all those he has left behind as well as serve as a springboard upon which, to achieve their set goals in life and make meaningful contributions to societal growth and development.

He also prayed God Almighty to grant his soul eternal rest and the family, the strength and courage to bear the loss.
