Plateau Government, in collaboration with Saving One Million Lives (SOML) an NGO, and UNICEF, on Wednesday in Jos, inaugurated a 40-man committee for State Strategic Health Development Plan( SSHDP).

The state’s Commissioner for Health, Dr Kuden Deyin, who inaugurated members, urged them to be proactive and to produce outstanding template to address current challenges facing the state’s health sector.

The commissioner revealed that the template generated would be discussed at the National Council of Health, and be inserted into the National Strategic Health Policy.

He said the objective of the SSHDP was to set direction for the health sector, conduct gap analysis in the sector and to develop activities that would fill observed gaps.
