Female governorship candidate launches campaign Jan. 28

The governorship candidate of the United Democratic Party (UDP) in Ogun State, Dr. (Mrs.) Jackie Adunni Kassim will officially launch her statewide campaign on 28 January, 2019 at Ota, Ogun State.

According to Kassim, the only female governorship candidate in Ogun State, her campaign strategy will be carried out from ward to ward, local government to local government and the grassroots across the State.

She explained that she decided to join the governorship race because in the last four decades of the creation of the state, no female has ever governed the state while the males that rule the state have been unable to improve the lives of the people.

Dr. Kassim stated that she has a seven-point agenda which includes qualitative health care, effective and human capital development, education policies, direct social security services, healthy environment programmes, responsible, reliable and responsive system of government, accelerated rural and agricultural development and general reformation of culture, tourism and social values.

The UDP governorship candidate said she is confident of victory in the March 2nd governorship race because many people including the disabled and beggars have being turning up enmasse to endorse her candidature.

According to her, as a mother, she would be compassionate, caring and dedicated in carrying everybody along towards fulfilling her electoral promises to the people and restore the past glory of the gateway state.
