MARCON Elects New Exco

Journalists in the Nigerian maritime industry, Maritime Reporters Congress of Nigeria (MARCON) have elected new executives to pilot the affairs of the association for the next two years.
In the election conducted last Thursday in Lagos, Mr. George Umunnakwe of Business Edge emerged as the fourth president of association after beating the interim president, Mr. Valentine Ekwomadu of the Scroll Magazine with 10 to seven votes respectively.
Speaking after the election, Umuannakwe thanked all members for considering him worthy to occupy the top MARCON position.
He called on all members to collectively work with him to take the association to greater heights.
