ACN Chieftain Warns Lagos PDP Candidate

Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) chieftain, Cardinal James Odumbakun, has warned the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for Lagos State, Dr. Ade Dosunmu, not to commit contempt of court by going on with his campaign.

Dr. Dosunmu was last Thursday stopped by the court from flagging off his planned campaign in the state. He was said to have flouted the order by going ahead with the event.

Cardinal Odunmbaku, popularly called ‘Baba Eto,’ who gave this advice in Oshodi, Lagos, South-West Nigeria, at the empowerment programme organised by a member of the state House of Assembly, Hon. Lawrence Ayeni, said his party would be happy to hear that Dosunmu was jailed for flouting the court order.

According to him, Dosunmu and his party “should not jump the gun by campaigning because the law has a way of managing political crises.

“The law is the law and when it catches up with you, you will go to jail. So, we are hoping that they will cross the rubicon and go to jail while ACN will continue to flourish and win the election,” he stated.

He said the development of the state and other states where the ACN is ruling has just begun. “The people will soon see the qualities of our governors. The youths and people of Lagos State should continue to support the progressives to enjoy the dividends of democracy,” he added.
