Lionel Messi has faced the world press in Paris, the second day after he signed a two year deal with Paris Saint Germain.
The ex Barcelona megastar said he is raring to go. He said “I can’t wait to get started with my teammates”.
He said he hopes to win the Champion League again with PSG.
Messi was accompanied to the press conference by his wife and three kids, along with PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi.
Khelaifi, who also spoke, expressed delight Messi had chosen the club.
“We are proud to welcome him to Paris with his family.”, he said.
He thanked Messi, his wife, and Messi’s father Jorge for the job done to land Messi in Paris.
“It will be very exciting for our fans and fans worldwide. We have a big ambition, a football project we are very proud of where we are today. There is no secret this agreement with this best player in the world”.
Messi also thanked his friend Neymar Jr for attracting him to PSG.
“My goal and my dream is to win the Champions League once more.
“I think that we have the team to do it here. And a shoutout for Neymar too! Ney played a significant role in my arrival”, Messi said.
