Cristiano Ronaldo has trained at Carrington for the first time since making his sensational return to Manchester United.

Ronaldo sealed a move to United on transfer deadline day, bringing just over two years at Juventus to a close.

After sealing his return to United, he joined Portugal on international duty and returned to England on Saturday where he was greeted by ex-teammate, Darren Fletcher.

Following his return to training at Carrington, attention will now turn to when he could make his debut.

United coach, Ole Gunnar Solkjaer has been cautious in introducing United’s other summer signing to the starting XI, making Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho wait for their first starts.

Ronaldo may face the same fate and settle for a place on the bench against Newcastle on Saturday.

However, United have a busy week after their Saturday game, they would travel to Switzerland for their first Champions League meeting with Young Boys on Tuesday where Ronaldo would likely feature.
