Gas tanker explodes on Lagos-Ibadan expressway

A gas-carrying tanker exploded on Sunday night along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway in Ogun state.
According to reports, the incident happened near Lotto bridge, Mowe. There is yet to be a confirmed report of any casualty.
As at the time this report was filed, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) could not give details of the tanker explosion.
However, FRSC spokesperson in Ogun, Florence Okpe, confirmed the explosion, saying that the rescue operation was ongoing.
She said “there is a gas tanker explosion around Lotto, on Lagos-Ibadan expressway. The FRSC rescue team is on the ground for the rescue operation.
“More details soon” Okpe added.
