Provost Eha-Amufu COE Kidnapped

The Provost of Federal College of Education Eha-Amufu in Isi-Uzo Local Government area of Enugu State, Prof. Ben Mba was kidnapped at the school around 7.20pm on Tuesday 28 June.

His abductors took him to unknown destination.

It was gathered that his driver Mr. Christian Anike was shot before they took the provost away. Reports say the kidnappers shot several times in the air to scare people aware, thus causing pandemonium in the institution.

However, men of the Isi-Uzo Police Division was said to have intercepted one of the suspects while the rest went with the provost to an unknown destination.

When the state Police Commissioner, Danazumi Doma was contacted, he confirmed the incident, saying he was aware and the command was on the trail of the kidnappers.

The injured driver has been taken to a hospital for treatment.
