Ejiro Boost Abesan Cup
Veteran sports journalist, Ejiro Omonode, has donated 10 match balls and jerseys for finalists of Abesan Cup, which kicks off on 15, October at the Joju football pitch, Sango-Otta, Ogun State.
Making the presentation at his office, Ejiro, who is the founder of Master Sports International, said the gesture is part of the company’s contribution to football development in the country.
Ejiro said the company policy is tailored towards promotion management and development of Sports from grassroots to international stage. According to him, the company is proud to associate with Abesan Football development and will ensure the partnership continues as long as the competition remains.
Ejiro stated that Abesan Cup is one of the oldest grassroots tourneys in Lagos and his company is ready to give logistic support to make this year’s tourney a memorable one.
“What we have done is part of our social responsibilities towards improving sports in the country. Abesan Cup has come a long way. The likes of Taiye Taiwo and Pius Ikedia were discovered in this competition. We intend to make it an annual gesture and hopefully we will do better next year.
Responding, Match Coordinator, Tayo Adeyemo commended Master Sports International for supporting the competition, saying the jerseys will be presented to the two finalists at the final stage of the competition. A total of 32 teams drawn from Lagos and Ogun State will compete for honours as defending champions,MSI, will confront Marvelous FC in the opening match
