A chieftain of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), in Lagos State, Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya a.k.a. MC Oluomo, has debunked the rumour that he is currently feuding with the Lagos Council chairman, Alhaji Rafiu Akanni Olohunwa.
Oluomo, the chairman of Oshodi branch and the treasurer of the Lagos Council of NURTW, said he has kept num over the rumour so far because he found it baseless, adding that the union is not harbouring any malice whatsoever.
Speaking further, he noted that Olohunwa is educated and therefore has no reason to quarrel with his subordinates.
“I am very loyal to my boss. As far as he is the chairman of the Lagos Council of NURTW and I am the treasurer, he remains my boss and I am bound to respect him and his office.
“Olohunwa, as you all know, is very respectful and reciprocates my respect for him always. In fact, those of us in the state exco do not encourage disunity because that is where our strength lies.
“Besides, we are both mature and very friendly and as such, there cannot be any ill feelings because we are both living comfortably and not envious of one another,†Oluomo explained.
While expressing regrets on how far the damaging report had gone, the transport magnate and philanthropist also advised members of the public to consider it as sponsored stories coming from the camp of those he described as never-do-wells within the union.
