‘Recognise Herbal Practice’

The Federal, state and local governments have been called upon to accord greater recognition to herbal practitioners in the country.

The call was made by  Mrs Adunni Adebayo, who is a popular Jankara, Ojokoro Local Council Development Area, Lagos State- based herbal practitioner.

According to her, efficient health care delivery to over 150 million Nigerians can only be achieved through a synergy between traditional herbal practice and orthodox medicine practitioners.

Adebayo, who is popularly called Iya Ruka Elewe Omo, by her numerous customers, decried the high rate of infant mortality and deaths across the country, attributing it to poor hygiene and poverty.
