Glo Mobile has emerged first in the latest audit of mobile telephone serviceÂ providers in the country, maintaining its position as the best telecommunicationÂ company in Nigeria.
The latest Network Audit independently carried out and published in the latestÂ edition IT/Telecom news magazine, IT Edge, showed that Glo was rated best among GSMÂ operators in the third quarter of 2010.
In the survey, Glo scored a total of 47 points out of a maximum 55. MTN came secondÂ with 46 points, while Zain came third with 42 points. Etisalat finished fourth withÂ 41 points.
The national operator came tops in nine of the eleven performance indices used inÂ assessing the performance of all the GSM companies. These include Signal Strength,Â Call Success Rate, Call Drop, Voice Response Time, Voice Quality to Downlink,Â Successful Recharge, Value Added Services (VAS), Internet Services and Call CentreÂ Operations. The company came second in the tenth and eleventh test categories, VoiceÂ Quality to Uplink and Successful Enquiry,
