Chief Executive Officer of Estelle Gold Events Limited, Chioma Onwuka, is organising a beauty pageant targeted at true African beauty, different from allÂ other beauty pageants and dubbed Miss Black Is Beautiful.
The event, which is to hold at the Federal Palace Hotel on 11 June, 2011, is aimed at bringing back the confidence of young girls and also to appreciate whoÂ they are.
Mrs. Onwuka told P.M. Entertainment that another aim is to give Nigeria a good name abroad and create job opportunities for the young girls.
â€œWe want a super model and this is going to be a unique pageant because its going to be strictly African,â€ she said.
Contestants, according to her, must be between 18 and 25years, 5ft. 7 inches tall, a Nigerian and possess an international passport.
The winner, she said, will represent Nigeria in international pageants, while other contestants will have opportunity of featureing on bill board adverts andÂ more.
