Members of Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN in Mainland Local Government and Yaba Local Council Development Area, LCDA have promised to deliver all the elective posts in both councils for their party.
They made the pledge during a rally organized for the four candidates contesting on the platform of ACN for the Senate, House of Representatives and Lagos House of Assembly.
Former First Lady of Lagos State, Chief (Mrs.) Oluremi Tinubu is the party’s candidate for the Lagos Central Senatorial District.
Hon. Monsuru Alao Owolabi is going to the House of Representatives (Lagos Mainland Constituency 1), Bashir Oloto (Lagos Mainland Constituency 2) and Lanre Oshun, Lagos House of Assembly.
Presenting the candidates at the rally, Hon. Wale Oshun, leader of the party in the two local councils called on members of the ACN to work tirelessly to ensure that the party wins all the elective seats in the areas.
“I want to assure our candidates that the four candidates will deliver for ACN. We have been working round the clock and it is my belief that all will be well. We also want to assure Governor Raji Fashola that we’ll not disappoint him in the April election,†he said.
Responding on behalf of the candidates, Mrs. Tinubu said the candidates are ready to work for the betterment of the people of the two areas at their various posts if elected. She reiterated that ACN is a party to beat in Lagos.
Party leaders in attendance at the rally included Prince Hammed Olanrewaju Mohammed, Financial Secretary of the Lagos ACN, Oladele Adekanye, Chairman of the party in Mainland LG, Jide Jimoh, Chairman of ACN in Yaba LCDA, Engr. Adeseye a.k.a Amingo, Vice chairman of the party in Lagos Central.
