Smart Strikers football Club of Oke Aro came from behind to defeat Iwuanyanwu Football Club of Ifako-Ijaiye to lift Baale Omole Cup in a match played on Sunday at the Teachers Training College playground, Ifako-Ijaiye.

Thomas Obiebi opened goal scoring for Iwuanyanwu in the 3th minute to send their home fans into frenzy. The early goal spurred their opponents to pile pressure on them before Adeniji Solomon got an equaliser in the 44th minute to end the first half time one goal apiece.

Iwuanyanwu FC who enjoyed the home support did not live up to expectations in the second half as their opponents dominated the encounter. The effort of Smart Strikers who outplayed their home team, was rewarded when Micheal Johnson scored the winning goal in the 82th minute to silence the vociferous fans of Iwuanyanwu FC.

Efforts by Iwuanyanwu FC to get the equaliser were not successful as Smart Strikers ran away with the result.
