Wrestlers Talk Tough Ahead BRF Wrestlemania In Lagos

Foreign wrestlers scheduled to fight in the Intercontinental Wrestlling Championship tagged BRF Wrestlemania in Lagos, Nigeria, have been talking tough ahead of the competition.

In separate telephone interviews conducted by P.M.Sports with some of the wrestlers, it has been declared that the winners will be decided in the ring between 13 and 16 September at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

One of the wrestlers, Chris Raaber a.k.a Bambikiller from Austria, said: “I want every Nigerian sports fan to know that the biggest African wrestling tournament will hold from 13 to 16 September in Lagos. The highest profile pro-wrestling fighters will be at war and nobody should miss this huge and historic event.

“And for all of you that don’t know who Bambikiller is – here is what you should know and never forget- I am a full time pro-wrestler for 14 years. I have travelled to about 27 countries all over the world because of my fights. I have been to countries such as Japan, Kuwait, USA, Great Britain, Germany, France, Italy, Ecuador, Colombia , Egypt and Nigeria.

“I was signed by World Wrestling Entertainment in the USA in a three -year contract and I won the World Heavyweight on five different occasions and defended the titles in Japan, Ecuador, Egypt, France, Kuwait, Finland and others.

“Listen, I am not only the biggest star of this tour, I am also the craziest, wildest, toughest, best looking and simply the best wrestler in this tournament . And I will do whatever it takes to win.

“Few days before the tour starts, I will have my 30th birthday and I will make myself the biggest birthday gift by winning another first place trophy and be the champion of BRF Wrestlemania in Lagos, Nigeria.

“Nigerians, I know you are smart people and will treat me with respect. So get ready when I come to your country to knock down my opponents and leave them crying, when it’s all over. I will celebrate with ice cold Nigerian beer.”

Another wrestler, Mike Stanco a.k.a Maximum Capacity from USA, said: “I understand that Nigerian wrestlers are very impressive. They will have the home crowd in their corner, but they have never seen or faced someone as big as I am. I fully expect to walk away with the belt.”

One of the match commissioners for the event, Super Makia from Cameroon, told P.M.Sports that “wrestlers coming from Cameroon are ready to face any challenger and win all our fights. We are fully ready. See you all in Lagos.”

Meanwhile, coordinator of the BRF Wrestlemania, Alhaji Olanrewaju Mohammed, said the Local Organising Committee, LOC, headed by Primate Charles Odugbesi, is working round the clock to ensure the competition organised to honour Governor Babatunde Fashola is glamorous.

Wrestlers from countries such as Congo Brazzaville, Congo DR, Cameroon, Central Africa, South Africa, Scotland, America, Belgium, Hong Kong, Austria, Republic of Ireland, Holland and host, Nigeria are expected to fight for titles in the championship.
