NIS Plans Big For Student Week

The newly elected president of Nigeria Institute For Sports, NIS, Alhaji El-Amin Aratumi, plans big for the forthcoming Students Week which will hold between 20 and 23 September at the school auditorium, Surulere, Lagos.

Aratumi, who expressed gratitude to students for electing him as the president of the body, told PM Sports that the students week will be the first of its kind as he has planned to invite Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola and the wife of Abia State governor, Mrs Mercy Odochi Orji to grace the occasion because of their contribution to sports development.

“We need to recognise some notable people and corporate organisations who have contrbuted to sports development in this country.We have sent invitation letters to some sports personalities and corporate bodies who will be given awards for a job well done in sports development in Nigeria,” he said.

Among the students elected are Oche Okpeke as vice president, Ralph Akunna as Secretary, Azuike Ihanyichukwu as PRO and Mrs Blessing Ezekwe as welfare officer of the school.
