As the third season of Glo Naija Sings inches close to an end, 20-year-old Oni Roxy has been voted out of the increasingly popular Mnet Africa music talent hunt show.

In a dramatic form on the night of 30 October, audience favourite Oni, a Mass Communication undergraduate of the Rivers State Polytechnic received the lowest number of votes across Africa and bowed out of the show sponsored by Nigeria’s telecoms giant Globacom, leaving just four contestants standing for the Glo Naija Sings ultimate prize of $100,000 cash and Toyota Rav 4 SUV among other perks.

Following last week’s Afrobeat performances, the votes resulted in Christian and Mattade being sent to the safe seats, closely followed by Tee Songz. This left the only two girls left in the competition, Vicky and Oni, on stage. Unfortunately for Oni, her time on Glo Naija Sings came to an end and she reverted to being a member of the studio audience and voting public. The four remaining in the house are Mattade, Vicky, Tee Songz and Christian.
