Yusuf Cup: Mageeco Promise Lucky Stars Tough Game

Mageeco Football Academy have told their opponents, Lucky Stars, to expect a tough match, when both teams clash this evening in the last group match of the ongoing Allhaji Yusuf Youth Cup.

The encounter, which holds at Teachers Training College, Ifako- Ijaiye, promises to be explosive as both teams are fighting for a place in the quarter final.

Mageeco need at least a draw to earn a place in the next round, while their opponents, Lucky Stars, need an outright victory to move to the quarter final stage.

Speaking ahead of today’s battle, Director of Mageeco, Akeem Ayobamidele, boasted that his team are ready to take their opponents to the cleaners, saying that anything short of victory will be a disappointment.

“Our match against Lucky Stars will be a tough one because both of us want to qualify for the next stage. We are going to approach the game like a cup final to qualify for the next round,” he said.

Team Manager of Mageeco, Olalekan Ogunjobi, said the players are well motivated and ready to come out victorious in today’s match. He charged the players to score an early goal, instead of being wasteful in front of goal.
